Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP)

A Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) in Houston ISD is a separate educational setting designed for students who have been temporarily removed from their regular school due to disciplinary reasons, in accordance with the Texas Education Code, Chapter 37.

DAEP campuses provide a structured and supportive environment where students can continue their academic studies while working to address behavioral challenges. The goal is to help students build the skills they need to successfully return to their home campus and thrive both academically and socially.
